Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, who has just extended her contract with the company for another three years, has hinted in a new interview that the world of Star Wars hasn’t seen the last of sequel heroes Rey, Finn, and Poe. While there don’t seem to be any solid plans for the saga-concluding Resistance heroes yet, it appears Lucasfilm is interested in extending their stories.

Kennedy answered the question about the sequel characters in a recent interview with Empire Magazine. “Certainly, those are not characters we’re going to forget,” she said of Daisy Ridley’s Rey, Oscar Isaac’s Poe, and John Boyega’s Finn. “They will live on, and those are conversations that are going on with the creative team as well.”

Since Rise of Skywalker released to a poor critical response in 2019, the Star Wars franchise has pivoted to explore its galaxy through Disney+ TV shows, including the upcoming Book of Boba Fett and the highly anticipated Obi Wan Kenobi series. Rogue Squadron, the film that was meant to be the next cinematic Star Wars release after Rise of Skywalker, has recently been taken off Disney’s production schedule due to conflicts with director Patty Jenkins’ timeta…

Across the globe, gambling operators enter into arrangements with individuals who help them bring high rollers to their casino floors. Companies that offer such activities are known as junket operators across Asia. In the United States, people who help bring high rollers to casinos are known as independent agents. It’s not a surprise that licensed gambling operators in Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world, engage with independent agents who help them boost their business.

Usually, independent agents have ties with rich individuals and have access to incentives for their customers. Unsurprisingly, independent agents usually earn commissions based on individual clients they refer to casinos. Some agents work with multiple casino operators, in an effort to ensure the best experiences for their big-spending customers.

Now, a new report reveals that the gambling watchdog in Nevada approved changes to the regulatory framework for registered independent agents in the state. As announced by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Nev…

Earlier this week, the CEO of Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead Games flatly denied the existence of heavy machine guns—Johan Pilestedt has track record of being tongue-in-cheek, though it’s not clear whether he accidentally blurted out some Super Earth secrets or fired a knowing wink our direction, here.

Turns out, we are getting not one, but two heavy weapons to help us in our march against the bots: the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon and the MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun (HMG), which are both available in-game right now.

Both of these heavy-duty weapons should help thin the herd of Super Earth’s foes by offering even more anti-armour options—though the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon appears to be geared most towards taking out tanky enemies, as it’s shown obliterating Automaton hulks in its preview footage. That should be a very welcome addition, considering the bot’s relative lack of popularity among the playerbase.

The HMG costs 6,000 requisitions, while the Quasar Cannon costs 7,500—if you can only afford one, however, I recommend the HMG just for efficiency’s sake, since Troost currently has the “Weapons Experimentation” environmental condition. This…

The latest round of Windows 11 updates has finally delivered Notepad in its finest form, as arguably now the best, most reliable offline word processor around. It’s always been a handy li’l app, sitting in your Windows installation waiting patiently for that time when you might need to quickly edit a text or system file. But, as a straight word processor, it’s been a little lacking, with its younger sibling WordPad getting more tippytappy keyboard attention.

But now WordPad has gone the way of Clippy, Notepad is the only game in town on a fresh Windows installation. And Microsoft has actually been making it better and better in recent years. The ability to tab, and for the app to essentially remember each of them from one boot to the next, has made it such a useful thing for me. The tabbed functionality arrived last year, and prior to that word wrapping and the improved find/replace dialog was introduced. And now we are finally getting a spell check, too.

A basic app that was barely touched since it was launched in 1983 as a program to support the release of the Microsoft Mouse, is now a thoroughly modern thing. Sure, you still can’t underline, bold, strikethrough,…
